Program Evaluation

We rely on your feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of our breast imaging visiting fellowships and identify ways to improve the experience for future participants. Please take the time to complete our online program evaluation or download the program evaluation form [Word document] and fax it to Nancy Cooper at (804) 237-6663; your comments will be evaluated carefully.

    1. Ultrasound-guided
    2. MRI-guided
  1. This program was intended to help update the participant on the interpretation of mammographic studies, breast ultrasound, imaging-guided breast biopsies and MRI of the breast. Upon completion of the conference participants will be able to:
    1. Detect and describe pertinent imaging findings and determine appropriate patient management options.
    2. Establish radiology-pathology concordance of common breast lesions and determine appropriate patient follow-up recommendations
    3. Consider appropriate policy and procedures for their breast imaging practice, challenge traditional approaches for the role of the radiologist in managing women with breast-related findings and potentially adopt new practice patterns aimed at improving patient care
    4. Conduct and appreciate the importance of involving themselves in quality control and the medical audit of their mammographic practices as a significant way to improve interpretations and patient outcomes
    5. Discuss indications for ductography and potential findings
    6. Discuss current indications for magnetic resonance imaging of the breast and reflect on the controversies surrounding this imaging modality
    7. Contrast available approaches for imaging-guided breast biopsies
    8. Reflect on the importance of direct communication with patients, referring physicians, pathologists, surgeons and oncologists and, to the extent possible, become actively involved in interdisciplinary conferences at their institutions
