About Richmond
VCU Breast Imaging has two sites — the third floor of the Nelson Clinic building at VCU’s MCV Campus in the heart of Richmond, Va and the second floor of VCU’s Stony Point location. Established as the state capital in 1779, the city boasts a rich history, which can still be seen today in the architecture, the statues on Monument Avenue and even in the cobblestone streets found around the city. From arts and entertainment to local restaurants, museums and small boutiques, Richmond offers something for everyone.
Lodging
Multiple downtown hotels — approximately 10 miles from our Stony Point facility — and suburban motels are available. A list with phone numbers and addresses will be provided through Nancy Cooper at the time of participant scheduling. Visiting fellows will be responsible for making their own lodging and car rental arrangements, if needed.
Shopping
Our Stony Point location is in close proximity to Stony Point Fashion Park, an outside mall that includes several major retailers and a variety of other high-end stores, as well as multiple restaurants. Other malls and shopping venues are available; directions provided on request.
